What does Rutherford offer?

Rutherford offers a cost effective and comprehensive range of food safety and training SOLUTIONS to effectively reduce food safety risks in the daily operation of a food business.

"Food Handler Basics" (on-line program)

Do you find it difficult to find the time (& money!) to effectively train your staff?

With the "Food Handler Basics" program developed by RTS, you can meet the FSANZ Food Safety Standards - Food handler skills and knowledge requirements quickly and cheaply!

The program has been developed to provide food handlers, especially within the Food Service and Hospitality sectors, with the essential skills and knowledge needed to control food safety risks in the kitchen environment.

The program is a self paced course, allowing staff to complete it during quieter times at work, or at home. This ensures that the training is efficient and cost effective!

On completion of the program, participants will be able to:

** determine high risk foods and environments

** identify common sources of contamination

** prevent contamination in the workplace

** significantly reduce food safety risks

The program has been developed for on-line learning, however bound course notes are available. Even though completing the course on-line, some participants have requested these course notes for their own reference material.

Assessment

Once ready, participants complete the Food Safety Review assessment that consists of multiple choice and short answer questions. Once assessed, participants will be issued with a Certificate of Completion listing the topics covered.

On request, participants will be supplied with relevant documentation for RPL purposes.

Cost

The cost of the program is only $80.00 including GST.

Hard copy course notes are available for $25.00 including GST, postage and handling.

A discount may be available to organisations with more than ten (10) participants. Please contact RTS for a customised quote.
